A
Chinese proverb
Some
useful TIPs for you in conducting your classroom
A
preschool is the first experience that a child has with the routine
of a school life. And the impression that child will carry for a
long time depends on the relationship that a child and teacher share.
As a teacher of a preschool, you have a great responsibility of
molding the lives of students.
To
achieve this it is very important that you get a clear picture of
your self so that you can present your personality best to your
students. At this tender age, children are learning through your
actions, your presentation skills, etc. So, it is very important
that you are confident, warm and accepting.
You
are at a vantage point to diagnose the special abilities and disabilities
of a child since parents most of the time are too loving and ignore
the limitations of the child. You should point out these differences
to the parents so that corrective and immediate steps can be taken.
Story
Telling
Story telling is an important part in any preschool education. A
preschool kid would listen with rapt attention a story that is told
in with energy, movement and audience participation. It should also
include interesting music, sound effects, etc. Stories should be
carefully selected and crafted for the age group
A
diverse repertoire suitable to the age group including traditional
folk and fairy tales from around the world.
